Music 

 

Music at Grace is, in a word, eclectic. One would be hard pressed to categorize the musical portion of the liturgy. It is at once traditional and progressive, meditative and boisterous, young and old – and everything in between. The Grace Music Circle is an inter-generational mix of instrumentalists and singers of all levels. Music is a vital part of our community worship, often praised for its accessibility and ability to evoke deep emotional and spiritual feelings. We sing original songs written by Grace members, as well as music by popular artists. We also sing classical works and favorite hymns, intentionally blurring the lines between sacred and secular offerings.

 

Children participate regularly. Kids Sing, a group for younger children, prepares a song or two for the service on the first Sunday of the month and special occasions. From that beginning, several of our teens have chosen to participate regularly with the Music Circle, often as featured performers.
